I was standing in line at the juice bar at my gym after a great workout waiting to order my daily protein shake that I always have after working out, when this guy cut in line in front of me. Already running late, my immediate reaction was to put him in his place with my NY attitude and say; “Excuse me sir, don’t you see there is a line here!!” But then I thought about it for a moment and decided to give him the benefit of the doubt, thinking that maybe he did not see me standing there.
As he ordered his drink I overheard what he was putting in his protein shake. He had them add Kale to the fruits in his shake. It was so unique! As my turn came up I said; “I’ll have what he had.” I tasted it and it was so good! Considering I don’t eat enough ‘greens’ this was a great way to drink it! I now found my favorite shake; Bananas, strawberries and kale with vanilla protein, ice and water. Milk doesn’t sit too well with me so I have them add some pineapple too which gives it that frothy taste.
